Cheap Beauty Tips & Tricks
You don't need to spend a lot of money on makeup to help yourself look and feel your best. A product labeled with a designer name does not mean it will conceal, glow or shine better compared to a generic product that cost a lot less. I feel makeup companies create hype about their overly priced products just like designer clothing companies do. Just because there is a popular name on it does not make it better. Hey, when I was younger, I thought buying name brands all the time was the sure way to help myself feel and look my best but after life experiences I can say that a name is .
Most woman have their couple of name brands favorites but buying my few favorites don't break the bank. I get good quality makeup at a very fair price. I buy L'Oreal, Revlon and Rimmel just to name a few affordable brands. They are not dirt cheap but they are not overly expensive.
Here I share a few cheap beauty tips that work for me and when I spare the extra few minutes to put on a face, someone usually tells me I look good and that makes me feel good because I didn't have to break the bank to do it.
A Cheap Technique To Long Lasting Lip Color
Buying beauty products can become very costly especially when buying the name brands. You appreciate what the beauty products claim they do and they probably do work but if it's not in your budget to spend $30.00 and up to buy just one beauty product there are many inexpensive beauty products and tips that can produce the exact look and finish you want to achieve.
I've been using this tip for years and when I can't afford my favorite long-lasting lip color at a reasonable price, I'll use a generic method to get the same result until I find my favorite long lasting lip color on sale.
I've accumulated dozens of lip pencils in many different colors over the years and instead of letting the pencils pile up and continue to not use them I decided to use them daily as a long lasting lip color. Using the lip liner pencils have become a part of my morning daily makeup routine. I'll take a dark berry or red lip pencil to trace the outside of my lips, then I take a lighter lip pencil and fill in the rest of my lips and use my pinkie-finger to blend the colors together. I do this process a couple of times and the lip color stays on my lips for hours. It truly works and I save a hell of a lot of money. Another perk to using lip liner pencils is they are very small, light weight and do not take up space in a hang-bag.
Lip Liners Use As Eye Color
I don't wear eye shadow but I do use white, silver, sparkly tan eye pencils as eye liners. Using eye liners above the lashes give the eyes a pop of color and the eye liner color lasts most of the day. Lip liner pencils don't make a mess in your makeup bag where many eye shadows dust up bags fast.
Here is another great money saving beauty tip.
Control Humidity and Frizzy Hair
Leave-in conditioners can be expensive and can dry out your hair. Not many people would think that a leave-in conditioner would actually dry out your hair but it's a fact that many brands do. If you're having a bad hair day because of frizzy out of control hair, I suggest you do this. Take your favorite conditioner you use in the shower after washing your hair, place a dollop of the conditioner in your palms and spread it throughout your hair either from the scalp outwards or just where needed. Spread the conditioner throughout your hair as if you were applying gel but adding it to a dry head of hair and do it before you use hairspray. Regular conditioner used as a leave-in conditioner smooths out hair and helps prevent the frizzes. Remember to apply the conditioner before you use hairspray.
Facial Scrubs beauty saving tip.
Facial scrubs help keep skin looking clean and fresh and only takes a couple of minutes in the shower to use.
Just like make-up can be costly facial scrubs can be costly too but spending $30.00 or more on a tube of facial scrub that will last a month or so is not always in my budget. I use to spend a lot of money on facial scrubs but it's not necessary. I now buy CVS, Walgreens or Shop Rite brands. I love them. They are cheep, the tubes last at least a couple of months and I get complimented on my skin all the time. I use facial scrubs on my face, neck, elbows and hands.

2 teaspoons honey
Apply to face, leave on about 15-minutes then rise. A little messy but this recipe rejuvenates the skin and makes it squeaky clean.
